More info Viewers of Britain's Got Talent were all left with the same thought about the opening of the latest semi-final. The ITV show made a comeback to our telly screens on Sunday (May 18) night after being absent from Saturday night's schedule. Presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly welcomed back judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli for the fourth semi-final of the series, along with the eight contestants vying for a spot in the grand final. Alesha was given the responsibility of the golden buzzer tonight, which will catapult one fortunate act straight into the grand final, reports Belfast Live. Before the contest got underway, the cast of Come Alive! The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular kicked off the show, but it didn't sit well with viewers at home. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: "This opening is chaotic." Another chimed in: "#BGT Of course Greatest Showman.A third viewer queried: "Does the Greatest Showman have shares in Britain's Got Talent may I ask? #BGT. This follows the news that eight year old magician Teddy Magic withdrew from the 2025 competition. A statement issued then said: "After discussions with Teddy's parents and the production team, it has been jointly agreed that Teddy won't perform in this year's semi-finals, but BGT hopes to see Teddy again in a future series." Teddy's family also shared their sentiments, expressing: "We want to thank everyone who has supported Teddy and cheered him on – he continues to fill our world with magic." The line-up for the grand final already includes acts such as Ping Pong Pang, Jasmine Rice, Olly Pearson, Vinny McKee, The Blackouts and Stacey Leadbeatter.
