Top government officials have now said that India has also 'decided that any future act of terror will be considered an Act of War against India and will be responded accordingly.' So what are the different sirens sounded in the wake of an impending war? What is the difference between a Red Alert and a Green Alert? What to do in case of sirens? In response to "Pakistan's blatant escalation" — as termed by the Indian army — India on Saturday, launched missiles and drones at four airbases in Pakistan's Islamabad, reported ANI, citing sources.

Doug Mastriano considering second run for Governor
(WHTM) – Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano (R-Franklin/Adams) is considering a second run for Governor. During an interview with abc27, Mastriano acknowledged that he and his wife were 'praying' over the decision of whether to run in 2026. 'Whether we're going to run or not, Ruby and I are seriously praying about it, thinking about it, we're engaging with people on it here,' said Mastriano. 'If the support is there, if the movement is there, if there's not a candidate out there who really champions our values, then it's going to happen.' A retired Army colonel and combat veteran, Mastriano was the Republican nominee for Governor in 2022, winning in a crowded nine candidate primary with nearly 44% of the vote. He lost the general election to then-Attorney General Josh Shapiro (D) by nearly 800,000 votes, with Shapiro receiving more than 56% of the vote. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox. Subscribe Now In Thursday's interview Mastriano highlighted mail-in ballots as a reason why he lost to Shapiro 'Where we lost was not embracing mail-in ballots. As simple as that. (In) 2020 Trump didn't embrace it in Pennsylvania. His team here had it in 2022. We didn't.' Mastriano drew criticism during his gubernatorial campaign for efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election and his presence in Washington, D.C., on January 6, though Mastriano says he did not participate in the Capitol riot. Questions were also asked after a photo surfaced showing Mastriano wearing a Confederate uniform in 2014 at an Army War College faculty event. Shapiro, at the time, responded to the photo saying Mastriano was 'unfit to be Governor.' A State Senator since 2019, Mastriano chairs the State Senate Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee. He also has a Ph.D. in History and has authored several books. In the 2025 State Senate Session, Mastriano has introduced or co-sponsored legislation including the 'Save Women's Sports Act,' a vaccine exemption for members of the Pennsylvania National Guard, and the establishment of a 'Green Alert System' to notify the public of a missing veteran. In 2023, Mastriano opted not to run for U.S. Senate, paving the way for Dave McCormick's win over Bob Casey in 2024. He was re-elected to the State Senate last year, defeating local teacher Cameron Schroy. While a candidate has not officially thrown their hat into the ring, several Republicans have been floated as potential challengers to Shapiro. State Treasurer Stacy Garrity was asked last month whether she'd consider a run and said she 'didn't say no, but I didn't say yes.' Congressman Dan Meuser, who represents more than a dozen counties in Pennsylvania's central and northeast regions, acknowledged earlier this month that he is considering a run for Governor. Shapiro is likely to run for re-election with rumors of a potential 2028 presidential bid swirling after he was a finalist to be Kamala Harris' running mate in 2024.
