Fairchild Equipment delivers refurbished forklift to church in Green Bay to help serve families in need
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Fairchild Equipment and Green Bay First gathered on Tuesday morning for a special delivery of a refurbished forklift and a ribbon cutting to highlight charitable efforts. The refurbished forklift was donated to Green Bay First, a church in the area that looks to serve local families in need. Fairchild Equipment says the new donation will help the church distribute resources. Victory II Cruise returns to Green Bay after two year absence, marks 2025's first docking Green Bay First hands out over 350 food bags weekly to families in need, and the forklift's role will be to help ease any possible physical strain on volunteers. Spectrum donates $2,500 to Green Bay First to support community services
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Spectrum donated $2,500 to Green Bay First through the company's employee-driven grants program on Monday. Green Bay First offers a food pantry three times per week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. It also provides three meals every Sunday to combat food insecurity and foster fellowship. Outside of meal services, Green Bay First offers a health clinic, clothing closet, and youth programming. Jamie Wall joined Spectrum on Monday morning to present a $2,500 check and see first-hand the effort that goes into the food pantry. 'Food insecurity hurts families and kids,' said State Sen. Jamie Wall. 'With this grant, Green Bay First and Spectrum are helping those in need right here in Green Bay and Brown County.' 'I'm proud to serve a community that comes together to help those in need,' said Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich. 'Green Bay First does incredible work not only with providing food and clothing to community members, but transportation, health services and so much more. This grant from Spectrum expands the organization's reach to support even more of the Green Bay community.' Launched in 2019, Spectrum Employee Community Grants support nonprofits nominated by employees with a personal connection to the organization through at least one year of their own volunteer work, including $125,000 in grants in Wisconsin to date. Spectrum has committed to award $2.5 million over the next five years to local nonprofits through Spectrum Employee Community Grants. Charter pledges to support a minimum of 500 nonprofit organizations across its 41-state service area, impacting more than 70,000 community members, through 2028.
