One in hospital as air ambulance lands near school field after 'medical incident'
One person is in hospital after a 'medical incident' that saw an air ambulance land next to the field of a North East primary school.
At around 1.30pm on Monday (May 12), emergency services were called to the scene of a medical incident close to Green Gates Primary School, Redcar.
The Great North Air Ambulance and the North East Ambulance Service both attended the scene, with both later confirming that one person was taken to hospital via road ambulance.

A spokesperson for GNAAS said: "Our critical care team was activated at 1.28pm to reports of a medical incident in Redcar. We had a doctor and paramedic on board our aircraft, and they arrived on scene at 1.36pm.
"Our team worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to assess and treat a patient. The patient was taken to hospital by a NEAS road crew, accompanied by our team. "The Great North Air Ambulance helicopter left the scene at around 2.10pm."
