Can you help the police? Sunday gunshot fatality under investigation
Greenville police are investigating a Sunday shooting that left one person dead. Greenville officers responded to the 5100 block of Interstate 30 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home shortly before 3:40 p.m. but no other information is available at this time. Hunt County EMS and Greenville Fire Department also responded but the individual was pronounced dead a short time later. This is a developing story.

One injured in officer-involved shooting in Greenville
GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – The Greenville Police Department reported that one person was injured in an officer-involved shooting in approximately 9:40 a.m., officers were called out to Maco Terrace regarding a report of a person acting suspicious and crawling through the woods. Upon arrival, officers located a man hiding in an overgrowth. Greenville Police stated that, when asking the man to come out, he presented a set of gardening shears at the offices, which led to the shooting. The individual sustained one gunshot wound from the exchange, and was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment. No officers were reported injured. Juvenile arrested outside of Haywood Mall
GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – The Greenville City Police Department reported that one juvenile was arrested following a fight at Haywood Mall. Officers said they were called out to the mall regarding reports of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers determined that there had not been an armed robbery, and that two juveniles were instead found fighting each other outside the Cheesecake Factory. Altercation causes panic at Haywood Mall
GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – The Greenville Police Department responded to an assault inside of the Haywood Mall. At approximately 8 p.m., police said an off-duty officer was alerted of an assault that took place in the food court of the Haywood Mall. According to police, people were seen fleeing the area and yelling that someone was shooting. Officers confirmed no shots were fired during the altercation.
