NASCAR championship races will return to Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2026 Homestead will host first NASCAR championship weekend since 2019. NASCAR is bringing its championship back to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the 2026 season, the organization announced Tuesday. All three NASCAR national series, the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series, will run their championship races at the South Florida track. Homestead hosted championship races from 2002-2019 before moving to Phoenix Raceway beginning with the 2020 season. The 2026 championship races will be held Nov. 6-8. After 2026, the championship races will move to different tracks – similar to how the NFL schedules the Super Bowl –with Homestead, Phoenix and other warm-weather venues in the mix, according to a report from The Athletic.
