New USPS Stamps Celebrate the Irresistible Charm of Baby Wild Animals
AURORA, Colo., May 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Postal Service today unveiled a new collection of Baby Wild Animals stamps celebrating the heartwarming beauty of nature's youngest creatures. Featuring 10 playful, stylized illustrations, the stamps are designed to capture the universal joy these animals inspire — from forest to mailbox. The first-day-of-issue event took place at the Rocky Mountain Stamp Show in Denver. 'The Baby Wild Animals stamps bring an adorable twist to wildlife in its most tender form,' said Lisa Bobb-Semple, USPS director of stamp services. 'There's something universally heartwarming about baby animals. This issue captures how cute baby wild animals are and brings it right to your mailbox.' The stamps showcase 10 designs, including a fox, owl, deer, seal, rabbit, raccoon, bear, skunk, bobcat and chipmunk — each rendered with clean lines, rich textures, and a warm, modern palette of rust orange, cornflower blue, pale ecru and soft black. The stamps were illustrated by Tracy Walker, whose distinctive style brings a whimsical and fresh perspective to the series. Greg Breeding, an art director for USPS, designed the booklet of 20 stamps. 'The bold, subtle shapes and textures used in the stamps' design motivated us to also develop modern, endearing products like notecards and bookmarks inspired directly by the stamps themselves,' said Bobb-Semple. In addition to the stamp booklet, USPS is releasing a selection of notecards, first-day covers, and collectible items featuring the charming artwork. The Baby Wild Animals stamps are being issued as Forever stamps, which are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail 1-ounce rate and are now available for purchase at Post Office locations nationwide and online at News of the stamps is being shared on social media using the hashtag #BabyWildAnimals. Iconic American Vistas Grace Postage Stamps
New Presorted Standard stamps display beautiful American landscapes SAN DIEGO, Feb. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the U.S. Postal Service released America Vistas, two new Presorted Standard stamps, at the San Diego Stamp Show. These two stamps, intended for use by business mail users, evoke the beauty, variety and vastness of our country's natural spaces. Greg Breeding, an art director for USPS, designed the stamps using art from DKNG Studios. 'For Presorted Standard stamps, we like to showcase broadly appealing imagery from across America,' says Breeding. 'These two paintings have a kind of Americana feel by displaying both mountains and the shore, both iconic to the American landscape. Because of their unique design style and use of color, the images come off as very fresh and engaging.' To the American mind, nature has been seen as a healing force. The landscape has often symbolized freedom, individualism and unlimited possibility. Perhaps that is why two favorite vacation destinations for Americans are the wide-open spaces and long vistas of the beach and the mountains. These stamps highlight both. Seen side by side, the two stamps form a pleasing pattern of spare, curving lines; triangular forms; and alternating colors. One stamp depicts a sandy shoreline at sunset, with a lone sailboat in the distance. The other is a nighttime mountain scene, featuring a small, secluded cabin overlooking a lake. The sweeping sky filling the upper half of the beach scene matches the lake in the bottom half of the mountain scene. The stamps share a horizon line at a halfway point in each design, which 'in turn helps to create a balanced composition, and a sense of calm in the art,' says Nathan Goldman, a principal with DKNG Studios. The American Vistas Presorted Standard stamps will be sold in self-adhesive coils of 3,000 and 10,000. News of the stamp is being shared with the hashtag #AmericanVistasStamps.
