TikTok Couple Confirms Riley Green and Megan Moroney's Rumored Relationship: ‘We Saw It'
With evidence after evidence leading fans to believe that country superstars Riley Green and Megan Moroney are a couple, the plot has thickened after a TikTok user claims to have seen them driving around in Green's hometown of Jacksonville, Alabama recently.
For those who need a refresher, the rumored romance between the two country stars began back in January, coming shortly after his alleged relationship with his "You Look Like You Love Me" duet partner, Ella Langley, came to a close. Moroney posted a picture from St. Barthélemy — featuring a hand wearing a Rolex watch — and a few days later, Green posted a picture of him in St. Barthélemy as well. As if that wasn't coincidental enough, in the picture, the "Worst Way" singer was wearing the exact same watch, and there was also reflection of a woman in his glasses (who looked a lot like Moroney).
The pair was caught spending some time together a few weeks later as well— this time at Green's new bar in Nashville, Tennessee, Riley Green's Duck Blind — after some oh-so telling Instagram photos were shared yet again. The "Am I Okay?" singer shared a photo to her Instagram story of herself wearing a rather identifiable cowboy hat. Shortly afterwards, Green's friend, Greg Camp, shared a photo to his Instagram story of the Alabama native wearing the exact same, identifiable cowboy hat.
Coincidence? I think not...
Earlier this month, Green and Moroney were spotted at the airport together, seemingly traveling home from the 60th annual Academy of Country Music Awards as a couple. It looks like the pair took a pit stop in Jacksonville, Alabama, though, based on a TikTok video shared on May 14 by a user named Gracie Knight.
"I just had to come here to set the record straight, Megan and Riley are together and we saw it for our own eyes in our hometown," Knight said to kick off the oh-so telling TikTok video, while her husband elaborated, "Me and Gracie were riding down Pleasant Valley Road — turning into her aunt's house — and she's like, 'There's Riley Green!' ...I said, 'Holy crap! It's Megan Moroney.'"
Explaining that Green lives "literally five minutes" from their house, Knight then explained, "We've seen the speculation with Ella and Megan... We saw it with our own eyes. If he's bringing her to the hometown, they've been going for a while. Ain't no speculation about it no more."
Seemingly in disbelief, she then concluded, "I can't believe that we witnessed it, because there's so much speculation... We're here to settle the debate. Him and Megan are together together, and I can't believe we're the ones to come to this."
In the TikTok video, the couple went back and forth about whether or not they should share the photo that they took "of the back of their heads" as well, ultimately opting against it (likely for privacy reasons). Nevertheless, this caused quite the uproar in the comment section.
"PLEASE POST IT," one TikTok user wrote, while another added "I WOULD BE SCREAMING." A third TikTok user jokingly commented, "You can be our Riley Green paparazzi 📷 👀 🤣"
