Erie SeaWolves celebrating Jackie Robinson Day with special home game
Jackie Robinson Day is celebrated throughout Major League Baseball every year on April 15 and at Tuesday night's Erie SeaWolves home game, that recognition will continue. Major League Baseball sends out resources to all of the minor league teams to commemorate the day including tribute video and trivia throughout the game. Deconstructing to reconstruct, work continues at former EMI site The SeaWolves' assistant general manager said it's special to play a home game on a day like Jackie Robinson Day. 'He was such a trailblazer with what he did in helping to integrate the game and now you see it all over baseball where it doesn't matter what ethnicity, creed, religion, whatever that you are, there's a place for you in the game. For us to be stewards of the game and to help share that message is very important,' said Greg Gania, assistant GM of the Erie SeaWolves. Play ball! Erie SeaWolves tickets to go on sale Tuesday
The Erie SeaWolves are gearing up for the 2025 season as single-game tickets go on sale Tuesday morning. This is the first opportunity for fans who do not have a ticket package with the Erie SeaWolves to secure their tickets. Erie SeaWolves release promotional schedule for 2025 season Those tickets will be available online only at 10 a.m. for the 100-level lower box seats and 200-level upper box seats. Greg Gania of the Erie SeawWolves said the timeline for people to purchase tickets has been pushed ahead for the last couple of years. Local bars and restaurants prepared for the Super Bowl rush Sunday 'We're feeling good it's always an anxious time of year for us because we literally start planning for baseball season the minute that last pitch is thrown, and the last couple years the fact that the team's been in the playoffs. So it's really shortened our off-season by a couple of weeks the last three years, so we start prepping right away,' said Gania.
