Tyr Pro Swim Series Fort Lauderdale 2025: How to watch, entry lists, schedule
Olympic gold medalists Katie Ledecky, Bobby Finke and Caeleb Dressel have entered next week's Try Pro Swim Series meet, which would be each's first Pro Series appearance since the Paris Games. They're joined by a bevy of fellow American gold medalists, plus the top international swimmers from the 2024 Olympics: France's Léon Marchand and Canada's Summer McIntosh (who is entered with Ledecky in the 400m freestyle). Advertisement The Pro Series stop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, airs live May 1-2 at 6 p.m. ET on Peacock. It's the last series meet before June's U.S. Championships. Meet entry lists are here. Ledecky and Finke have raced locally in 2025 in Florida, where they train. Dressel, who also trains at the University of Florida, has not recorded any results since the Paris Olympics, according to USA Swimming's database. Other top Americans entered include fellow individual Olympic gold medalists Kate Douglass, Simone Manuel and Lilly King, who all previously raced on the Pro Series this season. Plus Gretchen Walsh, who won seven gold medals and broke 11 world records at the world short course championships in December. Advertisement American swimmers are preparing for the national championships from June 3-7 in Indianapolis, where the team will be determined for the World Championships in July and August in Singapore. He has served in various international coaching jobs for the national governing body since 2007, including coach of the U.S. women's Olympic team in 2020 and assistant coach at the 2016 and 2024 Games. Advertisement At Stanford, Meehan was a three-time NCAA coach of the year and led the women's team to seven Pac-12 titles and three straight national championships from 2017-19. He helped develop such Olympic champions as Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel and Torri Huske. Meehan will oversee high performance, athlete and coach services and development, funding, and operations. He will lead the national team at the Olympics, world championships and Pan Pac Pacific meet. 'I am beyond grateful and extremely motivated to take on this role,' Meehan said in a statement. 'As we look ahead to hosting the LA 2028 Olympic Games, our success will be a byproduct of the investments we make today through hard work, commitment, collaboration, and enthusiasm.' Greg Meehan named USA Swimming national team managing director
Greg Meehan has been named USA Swimming's new national team managing director, leaving his post as the Stanford women's head coach. Meehan, the Tokyo Olympic women's head coach, succeeds Lindsay Mintenko, who resigned last September after nearly seven years in the position. 'I am beyond grateful and extremely motivated to take on this role,' Meehan said in a press release. 'My love for the Olympic movement — particularly for USA Swimming — has shaped so much of my life. As we look ahead to hosting the LA 2028 Olympic Games, our success will be a byproduct of the investments we make today through hard work, commitment, collaboration, and enthusiasm. I am honored to help lead this next chapter and inspire the next generation.' Meehan, who was also an Olympic assistant coach in 2016 and 2024, has been the personal coach for Olympic gold medalists including Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel, Maya DiRado and most recently Torri Huske, who is a Stanford junior. The managing director oversees all aspects of USA Swimming's national team program, including high performance, athlete and coach services and development, funding and operations. USA Swimming named former Stanford head women's coach Greg Meehan as its new national team director Friday, tabbing one of the country's most successful collegiate coaches to restore Team USA's global supremacy during a critical stretch culminating with the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. Meehan was a three-time NCAA swimming coach of the year and three-time national champion across 13 years at Stanford, where he coached multi-time Olympic champions Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel and Torri Huske, among others. He also served as head women's coach for the United States at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where the Americans topped the medal table with 11 gold medals and 30 overall.
