Motorcyclist dead in collision south of Ottawa
A motorcyclist is dead and two other people were taken to hospital following a collision in Grenville County just north of Cardinal, Ont., Sunday afternoon. In a post on X, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the collision between a motorcycle and a car happened around 1 p.m. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Two occupants of the car were transported to hospital with minor injuries, OPP said. The collision happened at the intersections of County Road 22 and Brouseville Road, just east of Highway 416 and north of Highway 401, about 90 kilometres south of downtown Ottawa. The OPP is investigating the cause of the collision, but roads in the area reopened around 10 p.m. Sunday.
