Wolf Creek Expo Center to open this fall in Grove
GROVE, Okla. – Grove city leaders broke ground on Wednesday for a new event center.
'It's an exciting day for Grove and Grand Lake,' said Amanda Davis, Grove Area Chamber president.
She said that thousands of visitors come to Grand Lake every year to 'Live the Grand Life. '
'Wolf Creek Expo Center will be a wonderful venue to showcase our many events,' Davis said.
The American Heritage Music Festival is at Har-Ber Village this weekend, and the 2025 Fairy Festival is set for Saturday at Lendonwood Gardens.
'Wolf Creek Expo Center is expected to be completed by the fall,' said Grove City Manager Debbie Bottoroff.
The 51,000 sq. ft. event center will be located at Wolf Creek Park, west of Grove, on the Wolf Creek arm of Grand Lake. The building will be a premier venue for various community events, conventions, and entertainment.
During the rainy ceremony, Ivan Crossland and Ed Townsend were recognized for their key contributions to the project. Townsend is the founder of the Bank of Grand Lake, and Crossland is the CEO of Crossland Construction.
Bottoroff said the Bank of Grand Lake's financing for the event center includes interest-only payments for the first 12 months.
