New stamps mark royal visit to Guernsey
Guernsey Post will mark the King's official birthday on 14 June with the release of a special set of stamps commemorating the royal visit to Guernsey on 16 July stamp collection features six designs capturing key moments from the historic visit by King Charles and Queen Camilla, their first to the island since King Charles acceded to the throne. Highlights include the King addressing guests at Les Cotils, planting a tree at the Government House and sampling a locally brewed beer named in his honour.A miniature sheet will also be issued, depicting the King and Queen presiding over a special sitting of the States of Deliberation on Crown Pier.

Commemorative stamps released for Guernsey liberation anniversary
A set of commemorative stamps marking the 80th anniversary of Guernsey's liberation from German occupation during World War Two is set to be set of six stamps was to depict the timeframe from occupation in 1940 to the liberation and recovery of the island in 1945, Guernsey Post said. Designs include a toy plane, a Canadian Red Cross food parcel and a liberation brass Yabsley, from Guernsey Post, said she was "honoured to issue stamps to commemorate this poignant milestone". She said: "Now celebrated annually, Liberation Day is a reminder of the resilience and courage of islanders during a dark chapter in Guernsey's history."We are grateful to Guernsey Museums for its assistance and for providing the images of the objects depicted on the stamps, which are items in its collections, and also to Simon Hamon for providing the 1945 photograph of the royal visit."The stamps are scheduled for release on 1 May.

Guernsey archaeological finds feature on new set of stamps
Guernsey Post is to issue a new set of stamps depicting archaeological finds unearthed in the postal service said the series of six stamps reflected this year's Europa theme of National Archaeological Discoveries. They include a silver coin uncovered in Sark in 1719 that features Atevla Vlatos, once a ruler of the Remi tribe in northern France, while another features the standing stone Gran'mère du Chimquière at the gate to St Martin's archaeologist Dr Philip de Jersey, who assisted the philatelic bureau with the stamps, said the set celebrated the bailiwick's "extraordinarily rich archaeological heritage". The two Europa stamps in the set include an ancient carving from the Bonded Store in St Peter Port and an early jug fragment that was discovered by divers in St Peter Port Post said the stamps were available for pre-order ahead of their issue date on 1 May.

Guernsey Post stamps feature bailiwick's islands and port

Three States of Guernsey companies to be commercialised
