Washington DC celebrated the US Army's 250th birthday with a military parade, which coincided with President Donald Trump's 79th birthday. The event featured thousands of soldiers, an array of tanks, dozens of aircraft and other military vehicles. This is the first military parade on US soil since 8 June 1991, which celebrated the end of the Gulf military parade was meant to honour President Trump but was mainly tied to the 250th anniversary of the US Army. On the same day, 'No Kings Day' protests against Trump took place in cities across the US. Aiming for 20,000 attendees, reports and images online suggest fewer than 10,000 showed up—some speculated attendance may have even been under 1,000. Many in the audience wore MAGA gear but remained quiet during Trump's remarks and musical performances.
