Mumbai: Fourteen years after two bike-borne men, one a criminal with seven cases, assaulted a cop to avoid being arrested, a sessions court convicted and sentenced them to two years of rigorous imprisonment each. The main accused, Javed Shaikh (36), even brandished a knife. Javed allegedly yelled obscenities and threatened to kill anyone who approached him. Sangle identified Javed too in court.
