Mumbai girl reacts to trolls who bodyshamed her, shares her story in video post
A Mumbai-based girl, also a content creator, addressed the bodyshaming she often faces online in two recent video posts on Instagram. In her first clip, Gunit Kaur explained that her health condition, nephrotic syndrome, has caused visible changes to her body due to long-term steroid disorder, which affects kidney function by causing the body to excrete too much protein in the urine, leads to swelling and other Gunit said the first signs were noticed by her maternal grandmother, who recognised symptoms from a relative who had a different type of nephrotic syndrome.'It all started when I was very young,' she said in her video, adding, 'My naani saw the signs, and that's how we found out. We went to many children's hospitals, but there wasn't much they could do.'She added that her mother was hesitant to put her on steroids, but the treatment became unavoidable.
