Excitement grows for Evansville's Guns & Hoses

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — A showdown for a good cause. Police and firefighters will step into the ring in April for charity. The 18th annual Guns & Hoses event returns to the Ford Center in Downtown Evansville on April 12. Over the course of 13 matches, it's Team Police vs. Team Fire. When the final bell rings, the team with the most wins will claim the coveted championship belt. A large portion of the proceeds go toward raising awareness of Prader-Willi syndrome, which is a rare genetic disorder. The rest will support local charities that help children and people with disabilities. In 2024, the hoses took home the victory. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
