Patel Engineering wins Rs 711 cr contract from NEEPCO
For construction of 240 MW HEO Hydropower Project in Arunachal Pradesh NEEPCO has awarded a contract valued at Rs. 711.29 crore to Patel Engineering for the construction of the 240 MW HEO Hydropower Project located in Arunachal Pradesh under EPC Mode. PEL had earlier been declared L1 (lowest bidder) for this project. The said project is located in the Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh, and is scheduled to be completed within 44 months. The Scope of Works include construction of Civil and associated infrastructure works, testing & commissioning of Hydro-mechanical Plant & Machinery leading to successful operation and performance of all the Generating Units of the 240 MW HEO Hydro Electric Project.

Patel Engineering successfully bids for Rs 718 cr 240 MW HEO Hydro Electric Project
NEEPCO has declared a Mumbai based infrastructure company, Patel Engineering as L1 for a Rs. 718 crore (including tax) contract for the 240 MW HEO Hydro Electric Project located in Arunachal Pradesh. The project, expected to generate 1,000 million units (MU) of energy annually, aims to improve power supply in the state and contribute to the balancing of the national grid. The project is to be completed in a period of 44 months. The said project is located in the Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh. The Scope of Works include construction of Civil and associated infrastructure works, testing & commissioning of Hydro-mechanical Plant & Machinery leading to successful operation and performance of all the Generating Units of the 240 MW HEO Hydro Electric Project.

Patel Engineering Ltd shares are likely to be in focus after the company announced it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for two major infrastructure projects worth a combined value of ₹2,036.89 crore, one in the hydropower segment and the other in urban infrastructure. In a regulatory filing on April 25, 2025, the Mumbai-based infrastructure player informed exchanges that it has secured the L1 status for a ₹718 crore contract from the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO). The contract pertains to the 240 MW HEO Hydro Electric Project in Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh, which aims to generate 1,000 million units of power annually. The project includes civil works and commissioning of hydro-mechanical plant and machinery and is expected to be completed within 44 months. On the same day, Patel Engineering also reported that it has been declared L1 for a ₹1,318.89 crore urban infrastructure project by the City & Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd (CIDCO). This project involves the construction of the Kondhane Dam and allied works in Karjat, Raigad district, using Roller Compacted Concrete Technology. The dam will have a length of 1,209 meters and a height of 83 meters, and the contract includes hydro-mechanical and electrical works, including installation of three radial gates and gate control systems. The project is slated for completion in 42 months. These twin orders highlight Patel Engineering's growing presence in both hydropower and urban infrastructure segments. The company, which has been operating since 1949, has a longstanding track record of executing complex infrastructure projects, including over 85 dams, 40 hydroelectric plants, and more than 300 km of tunnelling.
