PartsSource launches healthcare equipment management hub

Technology and enterprise software platform PartsSource has opened a new Customer Experience Center at its headquarters in Hudson, Ohio, US, for healthcare technology management (HTM) professionals. The facility is designed to offer practical learning and demonstration experiences to these professionals aimed at improving healthcare equipment management, operational efficiency, and addressing the challenges faced by healthcare providers in managing mission-critical assets. The centre delivers real-world insights to support care professionals in cost reduction and risk mitigation. It also helps in improving the clinical availability of equipment via integrated evidence-based supply chain solutions. Providing industry-specific training and showcasing opportunities, the centre aims to develop expertise and strengthen equipment management. The College of Biomedical Equipment and Technology's (CBET) new HTM Training Center of Excellence – North is a key feature of the centre, offering an on-site classroom and biomed laboratory for hands-on training and practice on portable medical devices. PartsSource president and CEO Phil Settimi said: 'This space will help healthcare leaders understand how to apply our integrated evidence-based solutions in parts, service, talent and asset management to achieve tangible savings, increased productivity, and ultimately improve clinical capacity within their communities.' CBET's HTM Training Center of Excellence – North, in partnership with PartsSource, began its first training course on infusion pumps on 13 May. The summer schedule includes courses on medical equipment technician, ventilators, and sterilisers, utilising the centre's equipment and technologies. These resources enable healthcare professionals to learn how to apply PartsSource technology tools and solutions. CBET president Dr Richard Gonzalez said: 'Partnering with PartsSource plays a vital role in helping us fulfil our mission to provide industry-specific education and training in HTM and information technology, aligned with the changing needs of the healthcare industry.' The facility demonstrates various settings of the hospital environment to cover the full spectrum of the critical care environment. This experience aims to allow hospital executives and technicians to enhance the value of PartsSource's technology-driven solutions for equipment management. Situated in PartsSource's Hudson-based headquarters, the space welcomes customers, healthcare professionals, and others. RBI accepts lower bond purchase amount in first FY26 OMO auction

"It appears most stock from HTM that could be sold in OMOs has reached a limit or is near it. Most banks don't have excess and they are selective..." said Ritesh Bhusari, joint GM, South Indian Bank. Synopsis RBI accepted bids worth ₹19,203 crore at this OMO, lower compared to the notified amount of ₹25,000 crore. RBI had received bids worth ₹50,369 crore. This is first FY26 OMO auction where RBI accepted a lower amount. Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) accepted a lower-than-notified amount at its open market operations to purchase bonds on Monday even as market participants sought to sell securities worth twice the announced offer on the table. This probably indicates the central bank is comfortable with the current liquidity. ADVERTISEMENT RBI accepted bids worth ₹19,203 crore at this OMO, lower compared to the notified amount of ₹25,000 crore. RBI had received bids worth ₹50,369 crore. This is first FY26 OMO auction where RBI accepted a lower amount. RBI's steps have helped lift system liquidity. Government bonds maturing in 2029, 2032, 2033, 2034 and 2036 were part of Monday's auction. The 10-year benchmark yield closed at 6.24% on Monday. "The auction cut-off prices were almost in line with market levels, for the semi-liquid 2029 and 2033 maturities. Since 2025, banks have offloaded ₹5 lakh crore of bonds. Following this liquidation, their willingness to sell has diminished," said VRC Reddy, head of treasury at Karur Vysya Bank. Florida students win $1.6 million in scholarships from hospitality competition

ORLANDO Fla. (BLOOM) – More than 400 Florida high school students showcased their culinary and hospitality talents last weekend at the 24th annual ProStart Culinary Team Competition and the Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) Competition. The events, hosted by the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation (FRLAEF), awarded over $1.6 million in scholarships to students pursuing careers in the hospitality industry. Students from more than 40 high schools competed in various challenges, including culinary arts, restaurant management, edible centerpiece design, and the waiter's relay. Top-performing teams earned scholarships from institutions such as the Culinary Institute of America, Florida International University, Keiser University, and the University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality Management. Culinary winners also received full scholarships to Hillsborough Culinary Academies at Erwin Technical College. 'We are incredibly proud of the talent and dedication shown by these students,' said Laura Rumer, director of the FRLA Educational Foundation. 'These competitions highlight their skills and passion for the industry. It's inspiring to see so many receive scholarships and recognition for their hard work.' The first-place teams in both the culinary and management categories will advance to represent Florida at the national ProStart Invitational in Washington, D.C., this May. Carol Dover, president and CEO of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, emphasized the significance of investing in the next generation of hospitality leaders. 'Hospitality is at the heart of Florida's economy, and these students are its future,' Dover said. 'We are thrilled to support their growth through programs like ProStart and HTM, which provide them with the skills and opportunities needed to succeed.' Mayo Clinic to build out space on technology campus

Feb. 26—ROCHESTER — Mayo Clinic is looking to Rochester's former IBM campus as the site for a new project. On Monday, the Clinic filed for a permit for a "HTM Fit-up in Building 103" on the Rochester Technology Campus at 2900 37th St. SE. HTM stands for Mayo Clinic's Healthcare Technology Management department, which maintains medical and clinical equipment. It is unclear what the timeline for this project is or how many employees will work there. It is also unknown if Mayo Clinic is moving an existing HTM site to Building 103 or if this will be a new facility. Mayo Clinic did not respond to questions about the construction of the HTM site on the Rochester Technology Campus. Building 103 is the same building where Rochester's Rion has a new 12,000-square-foot manufacturing facility operating to make Rion Aesthetics' anti-aging skin serum called Plated. Pramana, a Massachusetts-based digital pathology company that works with Mayo Clinic, also operates a 5,000-square-foot spot in Building 103 as its North American distribution and manufacturing center with an estimated five employees. Applied Aerosol Technologies also has six offices and a small lab space in that same building. Mayo Clinic is the latest medical company to carve out space in the 69-year-old sprawling complex that was built to house IBM's operations in Rochester. Vyriad and its related firm, Imanis Life Sciences, are growing rapidly in Building 110. Waters Medical, the U.S. subsidiary of France-based Institut Georges Lopez or IGL, is leasing a 4,100-square-foot spot in Building 003 on the campus. IBM sold the almost 500-acre campus with its 34 buildings to Los Angeles-based Industrial Realty Group for $33.9 million in 2018. IBM occupies leased space in eight buildings on the property. IBM's younger corporate sibling, Kyndryl , previously also worked out buildings on the campus. However, Kyndryl pulled the plug on its physical offices on the Rochester campus at the end of 2024. The Armonk. N.Y.-based IBM was Rochester's top employer for much of the late 1950s and early 1960s with technology as the city's main focus trailed by health care in second place. In 1966, Mayo Clinic tied it, when each employed 3,600 workers. Mayo pulled ahead in 1967 with 3,850 employees compared to IBM's 3,800.
