Driver faces court for bizarre actions on Route 9 in Hadley

HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – A Hadley man was summoned to court after police found him in a vehicle stopped in the middle of Route 9, revving his engine, appearing confused, and having difficulty speaking and walking. In a news release from the Hadley Police Department, on Sunday morning, an officer on patrol approached the vehicle on Route 9, Russell Street near the Coolidge Bridge. The driver, a 31-year-old man from Hadley, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital to rule out a medical condition and at his request. Drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle, and the driver will be issued a court summons. The store's loss prevention told officers that a suspect known to them entered the store on Wednesday and Saturday and stole nearly $2,000 in tools. Holyoke man arrested following shoplifting at Hadley Walmart

HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – A Holyoke man was arrested in Hadley Saturday evening in connection with shoplifting from Walmart. Mass. leader of drug trafficking organization sentenced to prison The Hadley Police Department said that shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, officers received reports from two callers regarding a shoplifting that occurred at Walmart. The callers worked with the department's Public Safety Dispatchers to report on the suspect's whereabouts after he left the store. Officers quickly located the suspect, who then attempted to dispose of the stolen products. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Kevin Denning of Holyoke, was arrested, and the merchandise was recovered. The stolen property recovered was multiple Lego sets valued in total at over $300. Denning was charged with shoplifting and was additionally arrested on two active warrants.
