TH wins Saudi Diamond Award for haj excellence
KUALA LUMPUR: Tabung Haji (TH) earned global recognition after receiving the Diamond Award from the Saudi Haj and Umrah Ministry for its outstanding management of Malaysian pilgrims during the 2025 haj season.
This marks the first time TH has received the top honour at the annual Labaytum Awards, presented during the Haj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition in Makkah — the most exclusive accolade presented by the Saudi government to exemplary haj management delegations worldwide.
"We are very proud to be able to set Malaysia as a benchmark for haj management excellence on the world stage," said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar in a statement by TH.
TH chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Hussain said the award proves TH's commitment to innovation and best practices, and affirmed that the agency is determined to further enhance their service quality in the coming years.
Group managing director and chief executive officer Mustakim Mohamad said the award was a result of efforts to improve the quality of haj management and strong cooperation with Saudi authorities and local agencies.
The statement said that TH's win was based on operational excellence in areas such as technology, logistics, healthcare, religious guidance and pilgrim satisfaction, which exceeded 95 per cent.
