Japanese coffee shop founded in Shetland to open in Glasgow
Showa Coffee House has closed its doors in Lerwick and will open up in Shawlands after owners Terence Tsao and Emilu Hasegawa decided to move their business to the city.
According to a post shared on their Facebook page, they will open their doors on Minard Road on Wednesday, June 18.

Ahead of the opening, they revealed they have created their own house blend of coffee called Hajimete 20 which is roasted in Glasgow by the roaster behind Rise and Grind.
The bags feature a label which has been created by Emilie.
Showa will also sell a variety of baked goods such as onigiri croissants, daifuku - a type of Japanese confection consisting of round mochi stuffed a sweet filling - and their signature Mount Fuji cake which comes in several different flavours.

In a post shared on social media last month, they wrote: "From Shetland to Shawlands… and almost ready.
"We've been quietly building something new — and now we're almost there.
"Showa Coffee House is coming to Glasgow next month (fingers crossed!).
"It's been a lot of work, a bit of luck, and a whole lot of heart.
"We're nervous. We're excited. And we can't wait to meet you — new faces, old friends, all welcome."
Showa closed in Lerwick at the end of October last year.
