QC explores trade cooperation with Bosnia, Herzegovina

Rashid bin Hamad Al-Athba, second vice-chairman of Qatar Chamber, receivedIrfan Halilagić, Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the Chamber's headquarters on Thursday.
The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation in the economic and trade sectors, the investment climate, available opportunities, and the role of the private sector in boosting trade and investment exchanges.
Al-Athba praised the cordial relations between the two countries, highlighting the importance of enhancing cooperation in commercial and investment fields to promote trade exchange, which reached around QAR 73 million last year, a figure that does not reflect the true potential and ambitions of both sides.
He pointed out that about nine Bosnian companies are investing in the Qatari market in partnership with Qatari firms across various sectors. He also emphasized that Qatar's market is open and welcomes Bosnian companies interested in investing.
For his part,Irfan Halilagić praised the strong ties between the two countries and noted the shared desire to strengthen these relations across various fields, especially in trade and investment.
Halilagić called on representatives of the private sectors in both countries to broaden the scope of cooperation and establish joint projects that would lead to increased trade exchange.
