Jimin was recently linked to actress Song Da Eun after the latter's revelation about dating an idol. Similar rumours hogged headlines around 2024, with reports suggesting that Jimin and Song Da Eun were dating, only for the actress to drop an update.
On June 3, a post went viral with reports stating that the actress has claimed to be dating a male idol. While she refrained from naming any particular individual, fans were convinced that she meant Jimin. 'I hope you go through the same thing that you put my family through. Like, please. I hope you get the punishment you deserve. Seriously, I wish the worst upon you. And just because the idol you love loves me doesn't mean I deserve to be hated. It's not like I made the first move," she said, further asking fans to stop the backlash against her.
While the update has stirred a fresh discussion online, it has also reignited the past rumours around Jimin's relationship.

Over the years, speculations around Jimin and Song Da Run potentially being in a romantic relationship have hit the online forums multiple times, leaving fans to decode their similar social media activities.
The rumours began in the summer of 2022 when a now-deleted Pann Nate post dropped a 12-piece evidence on their dating. There were pictures that showed both Jimin and Song Da Eun at the same locations, dressed in the same accessories, and recommending the same movies. A picture also revealed the duo attending a soccer game on her birthday, while another one highlighted their mutual love for peonies, rubber trees and more.

The Handmaiden actress initially denied any personal connection with the K-pop star, stating that she personally doesn't know him and is not in any romantic relationship. However, it was her subtle hints and posts that spoke otherwise. In one instance, the actress shared a picture of two earbud cases, flaunting the name 'Jimin' on one and 'Da Eun' on the other. In a video, Song Da Eun revealed a person walking by the Brooklyn Park Pier but covered his face with a flower emoji. Fans were quick to spot a similarity with Jimin, who featured in a similar video shared by V.

While the BTS star is yet to react directly to the matter, he did make an indirect comment to reject the rumours. Following the release of his second solo album, MUSE, Jimin, in a conversation with RM, said, 'It was so hard writing the lyrics. I couldn't even remember the last time I had a crush."
