The bill, which has not yet been voted on in the United States Senate, faced criticism from Citizen Action of Wisconsin and Hands off Medicaid Districts 6 and 8, who gathered on Wednesday outside the office of Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) in Oshkosh. In Congressional Districts 6 and 8, about 19,000 people are estimated to potentially lose their health insurance coverage if the plan passes, and 82,000 people across Wisconsin. The groups say that many constituents tried to meet with Sen. Johnson's staff in Oshkosh but have failed to do so.
