Penneys store gets major €5MILLION makeover in big boost to shoppers as first snaps revealed
A POPULAR Penneys store has been given a €5MILLION makeover - with a new beauty salon and upgraded fitting rooms among perks for shoppers.
The busy O'Connell Street store, which welcomes thousands of shoppers every day, first opened in 1992.

The popular spot has had its biggest make-over in more than a decade.
The large retailer has a long-standing commitment to investing in
Key areas of the store have been reimagined – including upgraded fitting rooms on every floor and newly opened ground-floor windows that let in lots of natural light, brightening the space and creating eye-catching displays from the busy street outside.
The store also has 16 new self-service checkouts, giving customers more flexibility when paying for their Penneys favourites, while the popular Nails studio has been revamped and is now located at the front of the store.

The popular kidswear department has been relocated to the first floor, where a bigger range is now available for simpler family shopping.
And the famous Penneys' Home department has also expanded, gaining an additional 1,217 sq. ft.

She told the Irish Sun: "It might be very unglamorous to say so, but I always have to get my tights and my pyjamas in Penneys."
"Every day I'm asked about the clothes in my wardrobe and today I am very happy to say it is Penneys."

She said: "Well I think the fact that Penneys have invested €5 million in this store shows how important it is. To not only the city but to visitors, to Dubliners, to the economy.

"I think it's going to bring more shoppers let's face it and we like to see that.
"We want people in the city, we want people enjoying the city experience and I think this will help in doing that.
The store that employs over 250 people, a third of whom have been working there more than 10 years, is committed to supporting retail trade in the heart of Dublin city.
Many shoppers were loving the store's fresh new look with some sharing their tips and tricks for the perfect outfit.
