'It's good to get the win, especially against those guys,' McLellan said. 'They've really taken it to us in the past.'
Hingham's title was its first in the Buddy Ferreira Classic since 2022, with its first title having come in 2009. The Habormen hadn't defeated the Eagles in any game in Falmouth since the 2010 season.
McLellan was joined on the all-tournament team by teammates Mike Karo, a junior goaltender who made 30 saves in the final, and junior defenseman Colman Donohue, who tallied his first varsity goal earlier in the tournament.
'I love that in a hockey game, when it's nice and gritty,' Karo said. 'There was a lot of action going on around the net and my team was able to support me the entire time.'
Senior Nolan O'Sullivan, who was named to the all-tournament team, scored the lone goal for the Eagles at 6:33 of the second period to open the scoring. Joining him on the all-tournament team were Eagles senior defenseman Griffin Faherty, as well as senior forward Cam Berry, the recipient of the 10-19 Foundation Scholarship.

Rounding out the all-tournament team was senior forward Finn Kelly — the MVP of last year's tournament — of Archbishop Williams and junior forward Stephen Constantine of Arlington Catholic.
