Six-year-old girl hit by car crossing a Seattle street
The Seattle Police Department says a six-year-old girl was hit by a car in the Central District while crossing the street. It happened just before noon near Rainier Avenue South and South Charles Street. Because of street construction at the intersection, an off-duty Parking Enforcement Officer saw the crash and quickly provided medical treatment to the child. The girl was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries. Police say the girl and her mother were in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. The driver, an adult woman, stayed on scene and cooperated with police. Officers say she didn't show any signs of impairment, and she wasn't arrested.

Central District shooting leaves victim in serious condition
Seattle Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early this morning in Central District. Police say that the 24-year-old victim was shot at 2:30 a.m. while standing near the street with a group of friends. A group of men approached the group, and a fight broke out. During the fight, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and began shooting. The suspects fled the scene, and the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. Police are still investigating the shooting.

5-year-old killed in Federal Way; father arrested for murder
A 29-year-old man has been arrested and booked for murder after his 5-year-old daughter died following an apparent assault. Police responded to the Glen Park Apartments on SW Campus Drive around 1 p.m. on May 29 for reports of a 5-year-old in 'medical distress.' When officers arrived, they began first aid efforts to save her life. During their assessment, they saw signs that the child had recently been assaulted. Police did not specify the extent of the child's injuries. The child was taken to Harborview Medical Center where she died from her injuries. Man shot in Seattle's CID neighborhood, suspect sought
Seattle police are investigating a shooting in the Chinatown-International District that happened overnight Tuesday. Officers responded to an area near 12th Ave S and S King Street around 11 p.m. on May 27 and found a 42-year-old man with at least two gunshot wounds. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center and was listed in serious condition. The suspect ran off before police arrived and they did not locate him. Officers processed the scene and collected evidence. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. 1 teen injured, 2 arrested after Auburn, WA shooting

Police and fire personnel treated his wounds and took him to Harborview Medical Center, where officials say he is in serious condition. Shortly after, officers identified a different 15-year-old boy as the suspect and took him into custody. Police also arrested a second suspect of unspecified age in connection to the shooting.
