In his exit from Alabama basketball, Mouhamed Dioubate is leaving the new blood for a blueblood.
On3's Joe Tipton announced on Monday afternoon that the Crimson Tide sophomore that played a critical role off of the bench in the program's second straight Elite Eight appearance committed to Kentucky.

Evidently, Mark Pope saw what he needed to see as Alabama swept the Wildcats in three this year.

In the road trip to Rupp Arena for a 102-97 win, Dioubate had eight points, three assists and eight rebounds before fouling out. The 6-foot-7 forward known for his grit and hustle was 2-for-4 with five boards against the 'Cats in Coleman Coliseum.

Dioubate pounded 13 points going 5-for-6 with eight defensive rebounds and a steal in 22 minutes during the 99-70 pommelling of Kentucky in SEC Tournament quarterfinals.

In his sophomore season, Dioubate never started, but saw about 16 minutes per game in 37 appearances to average 7.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 61.7% from the floor. He won the Hard Hat in his performances against Kentucky on Jan. 18 and Mar. 14 with big man Clifford Omoruyi taking the remaining reward for Blue Collar points.

After Duke bounced Alabama from a chance at the Final Four, when asked if he was aiming for a starting spot, Dioubate told the Tuscaloosa News, "I know what I deserve."
The Wildcats went 24-12 on the season and 10-8 in conference play, defeating Troy and Illinois in the NCAA Tournament before falling to Tennessee in the Sweet Sixteen.

A landing spot for the first Crimson Tide player to hit the transfer portal, redshirt freshman Naas Cunningham, has yet to be announced.
