Players with Oklahoma ties honored by G-League
New York, NY – A pair of players with Oklahoma ties earned major NBA G League honors for the 2024-25 season.
Former Heritage Hall and Creighton star Trey Alexander earned G League Rookie of the Year for his time with the Grand Rapids Gold. The G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets. Alexander averaged 26.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per contest in 22 G League games this season.

Alexander has appeared in 22 NBA games with the Nuggets this season.
Former Oklahoma Sooner Elijah Harkless earned the G League's Most Improved Player. Harkless earned the honor playing for both the San Diego Clippers and the Salt Lake City Stars this season. Harkless averaged 26.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.3 steals in 19 regular season games, 17 of which came for Salt Lake City.
Harkless played two seasons at Oklahoma before he transferred to UNLV where he finished his collegiate career.
