Outlander fans left 'crying' as prequel star makes heartfelt admission in major update
Outlander: Blood of My Blood star Harriet Slater has shared a sweet admission ahead of fans getting a huge update next week
The stars of Outlander have gathered with the cast of the much-anticipated prequel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, to delve into the details of one of the year's standout television moments.
Over the previous decade, Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) have been synonymous with Starz' hit time-travel historical saga.
Yet, after captivating audiences across seven seasons, the Outlander universe is set to broaden its horizons for the first time, introducing four fresh faces portraying the parents of the show's central couple.
Slated to hit our screens this coming August, Blood of My Blood will feature Harriet Slater as Ellen MacKenzie, and Jamie Roy as Brian Fraser, Jamie's parents, alongside Hermione Corfield as Julia Moriston and Jeremy Irvine as Henry Beauchamp, Claire's parents.
In a run-up to the highly anticipated premiere, the official Instagram account for Outlander has unveiled a forthcoming in-depth discussion featuring both the familiar and new members of the cast to shed light on the upcoming spin-off, reports the Scottish Daily Express.
Teased in an exclusive snippet for the Sunday, 1st June World Outlander Day event, Slater candidly acknowledged: "We've got some big boots to fill!"
Sophie Skelton, known for her role as Claire and Jamie's daughter Brianna, responded warmly: "Welcome to the clan!"
Accompanying the preview post was an enticing message: "Witness the casts of #Outlander and #BloodOfMyBlood come together for the first time to welcome a new generation of Frasers, MacKenzies, and Beauchamps, and explore the ties that bind their stories."
The announcement sparked an outpouring of excitement in the comments section, with fans eagerly anticipating the upcoming panel discussion.
On Instagram, one fan responded: "Well, the cast of blood of my blood already has my heart."
Another enthusiast commented: "The whole family together. Nothing could ever beat this."
A third fan gushed: "My heart is melting and bursting at the same time [you're] tearing my guts out [crying emoji]."
