Haryana reports new Covid cases from Panchkula, Gurgaon, Faridabad

1 2 Chandigarh: With two people testing positive in Panchkula, patients infected with the new variant of Covid-19 have started emerging from areas other than Gurugram and Faridabad. With these two cases, Haryana on Saturday reported seven new Covid cases from across the state, bringing the total tally to 45. According to information, besides the two cases from Panchkula, the remaining cases were reported from Gurugram and Faridabad. Gurugram reported three new cases, while Faridabad reported two. With this, Gurugram continues to top the tally of cumulative positive cases with 19, followed by 16 in Faridabad. Other districts where Covid cases have been reported include five from Karnal and one case each from Hisar and Yamunanagar districts. All the cases in Karnal, Yamunanagar, and Hisar have a travel history or involve contact with those who travelled to metropolitan areas. The Haryana DGHS stated that all positive patients are in home isolation and their condition is stable. "Of the 45 patients testing positive, 15 were cured and the rest are receiving treatment. We have already created adequate arrangements in hospitals, health centres, and govt and private facilities," said DGHS Dr Manish Bansal. According to information, 200 people, including contacts of those testing positive through contact tracing and family members, were tested during the day. 5 active cases in Punjab Punjab has five active cases of Covid-19. According to health officials, all current cases are asymptomatic and the patients are undergoing home isolation. Health officials stated that the situation remains normal and there is no cause for alarm. A total of 10 Covid cases have been reported in Punjab in 2025 so far.
