Deeg brothers held for ‘espionage' supplied SIM used in bid to ‘honey trap' DRDO official—Delhi cops
According to sources, the two had allegedly provided a SIM card that was being used to attempt to 'honey trap' a senior official of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The brothers have been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including for threatening the sovereignty of India. They have been accused by the Delhi Police of providing Indian SIM cards to PIOs and sensitive military inputs. New Delhi: A 42-year-old man, identified as Haseen, was arrested Saturday from Rajasthan's Deeg, days after his younger brother Kasim was taken into custody by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, for allegedly being part of an espionage racket run by Pakistan Intelligence Operatives (PIOs) in India. Haseen had started visiting Pakistan about 15 years ago and developed contacts with the Inter-Services Intelligence over the last four-five years, sources said. 'After Haseen's passport expired, he sent SIM cards through his younger brother. In August, 2024, he sent a SIM card to Pakistan through Kasim, one which was in his name, which was used by the PIO,' a source told ThePrint. 'Haseen has accepted in his interrogation that he sent pictures of Army establishments to PIOs, and received money in lieu of that. He also provided OTP to activate WhatsApp in Pakistan. His ISI handlers also helped him get Pakistan visas for his younger brother Kasim, his jeeja (brother-in-law) and sister, when they had gone to Pakistan in August 2024,' another source said. Both brothers had received training on how to gather military intelligence, and also built more contacts in India, sources added. They had also allegedly been trained to identify friend circles of officials in military intelligence and DRDO. They said that in September, an input was received about Indian mobile numbers being used by PIOs for espionage activities in India. Probe revealed that Kasim had visited Pakistan twice, first in August 2024, and for the second time in March 2025, when he stayed there for about 90 days, and also met ISI operatives. 'By using these SIMs on WhatsApp, PIOs were communicating with Indians for extracting sensitive information of installations related to Army and other government offices. Further investigation is underway to unearth this conspiracy,' the first source said. Spying for Pak: Delhicops arrest man fromDeeg; brothers missing
Alwar: The Delhi police special cell on Friday arrested a 32-year-old man, Mohammad Qasim, from Gangora village in Deeg district on charges of espionage for Pakistan. The arrest comes just days after his initial detention and subsequent release by the Rajasthan police. Qasim is accused of sharing sensitive information with Pakistani officer Ehsan-ur-Rahim, who was recently expelled from the Pakistan High Commission in India, said sources. Intelligence sources reveal that Qasim made two visits to Pakistan, in Aug 2024 and March 2025, allegedly receiving espionage training from Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The case took a complex turn as Qasim's three brothers — Haseen, Ishtiaq and Afzal Maulana — disappeared from their village after initial questioning on May 23. Sources indicate that Haseen, the eldest brother, had previously undergone similar training in Pakistan but was unable to continue due to visa complications, leading him to recruit Qasim for the operation. The special cell conducted raids in Gangora and surrounding villages on Friday in search of the missing brothers. SP Deeg Rajesh Kumar Meena confirmed the arrest but deferred comments on the investigation to Delhi special cell officials. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Investigation revealed that Qasim, a former Tihar Jail inmate who served five years for kidnapping, had allegedly supplied SIM cards to individuals in Delhi to facilitate communication with Pakistani operatives. Qasim, who was previously detained and interrogated by the Rajasthan police and intelligence agencies on May 23, was released after four days of questioning in Jaipur. However, the investigation took a new turn after Delhi police found evidence against him, leading to his arrest on May 28.

Espionage racket busted, accused arrested in Mewat
New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police claimed to have cracked an espionage operation involving Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIOs) and arrested a key suspect from the Mewat region. The accused has been identified as Kasim, who allegedly received spycraft training in Pakistan. Two other members of this spy ring are absconding, and raids are being conducted to nab them. One of them, Haseen, allegedly passed on crucial information to their handlers. Additional CP (Special Cell) Pramod Kushwaha confirmed the arrest and said the operation was ongoing. Sources said this module was gathering information about key military infrastructure and installations in Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan. The accused were clicking pictures and noting down timings of the movement of vehicles and Army personnel at Alwar military station. Kasim, a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan, visited Pakistan twice in Aug 2024 and March 2025, staying for about 90 days and meeting ISI personnel. Probe revealed that three ISI officers were providing them with training at a Pak army base in Lahore, officials said. Two of them were known by their aliases, viz Shah Ji and Tauji, while the third was identified as Waqas. One of the handlers was also communicating with officials at the Pak High Commission. "Based on source inputs, investigators discovered that Indian mobile numbers were being used by PIOs for espionage activities in India. The SIM cards were allegedly being sent to Pakistan by some Indians. The PIOs were using WhatsApp to communicate with Indians, extracting sensitive information about Army installations and govt offices," Kushwaha said. After an FIR was filed and raids were conducted in Mewat, Kasim was detained a few days ago. He was questioned and eventually arrested on May 29. He is currently on police remand. Further investigation is underway.
