Kolkata-based shoe trader robbed in Bokaro
Bokaro: A Kolkata-based shoe trader was robbed after unknowingly accepting a lift from a stranger at Chandrapura railway station. Police have arrested four accused involved in the crime, said Harvinder Singh, SP Bokaro.

The incident occurred on May 30, 2025, when the victim, Hasnain Amal, filed a complaint at Chandrapura police station. According to the FIR, the trader was lured onto a motorcycle by an unidentified man offering to take him to Dhanbad. Instead, he was taken to a secluded road where a group of criminals robbed him and threatened to kill him.
Acting promptly on the complaint, Bokaro SP instructed the formation of a special raid team led by SDPO Vashishtha Narayan Singh.
Within hours, the team arrested four suspects.
The arrested persons are Prince Kumar Singh alias Sonu (Gaya), Rohit Kumar Thakur (Bokaro), Amit Singh alias Golu (Barh), and Vicky Pathak (Ara). All four are currently residing in Bokaro and are believed to be part of a gang operating from Bihar. A fifth suspect is still at large. Police seized five mobile phones, two motorcycles, and two knives from the accused.
