CAIRO- 17 March 2025: Prominent Egyptian Salafi preacher Abu Ishaq al-Heweny passed away at the age of 69, on Monday, following a prolonged illness.
His son, Hatem al-Heweny, announced the news of his father's passing through a post on his Facebook page.
Sheikh Abu Ishaq al-Heweny was born on June 10, 1965, in Hewen village, located in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate. He was renowned for his expertise in the study of Hadith (the sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad- PBUH).
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Egypt's leading Sunni Islamic institution, expressed its sorrow over the Sheikh's passing, praising his lifelong dedication to the study and preservation of the Islamic Sunnah and its sciences.
