Newcastle Knights v Manly Sea Eagles: NRL live scores, updates, SuperCoach analysis
The Sea Eagles' most consistent trait has been their inconsistency in 2025. For that reason, fans should expect the unexpected when they come up against an out-of-form Newcastle Knights side. While the Sea Eagles go into the fixture as favourites, it's anyone's game, with the Knights boosted by the return of Kalyn Ponga in fullback, while No.22 Greg Marzhew is a chance of a late inclusion. SuperCoaches have gone in hard with Manly transfers this week, but there's plenty of popular Knights gearing up for action as well, making this an appetising match-up. Sea Eagles: • Lehi Hopoate ($676,000) – The second most transferred-in player this week in SuperCoach. Has been dynamite this season, coming off a ton last week at fullback in the absence of Tom Trbojevic. With the No.1 on his back again, his new owners will be hoping for a repeat performance on the road. • Haumole Olakau'atu ($607,400) – Has over 2,000 new owners this week after a cool 91 points against the Broncos, bringing his ownership up to 32.6%. Knights: • Dylan Lucas ($740,500) – A drop off from his whopping 82.4 average last week, scoring just 52. Owners will be hoping he can return to form with a home crowd behind him. • Fletcher Sharpe (705,800) – Like Lucas, experienced a drop in scoring last week at just 45. at an ownership of just over 30%, he's another Knights star we're hoping can bounce back.

Legend slams ‘pathetic' star over State of Origin Game 1 leaks
NRL great Brad Fittler has savaged Wests Tigers forward Terrell May after he dropped a bomb while live streaming on Thursday night. The 26-year-old all but confirmed he had been snubbed from the NSW Blues squad for the upcoming State of Origin opener. Breaking the news of his Blues omission to his mates and the general public, the Tigers enforcer instructed his friend to throw the Blues jersey he bought for him in the bin as he relayed the rumour he is set to miss out. Fittler however wasn't happy with the star player and teed off in a fiery rant on the Sunday Footy Show. Watch the NRL legend unload in the video player above '(Manly back-rower) Haumole Olakau'atu did a couple of years ago something very similar, and then last year I went into Manly and he came up and apologised and sat there and just spoke about how he was immature,' Fittler said. 'I really respected things he was speaking about and how light he was about it. 'I reckon maybe Terrell May should maybe ring Haumole and humble up a little bit. 'Seriously, what are these blokes thinking? There's people at home who just love this game. They just love it. And you sit there playing a game and all of a sudden you want to just talk like this. How blasé. 'Pathetic.' May's apparent snub comes after his electric start to the season which has seen him establish himself as one of the premier props in the game. He is currently averaging just under 73 minutes a game, and his incredible impact on the game sees him currently in second place on the Dally M leaderboard. May also ranks first in the NRL for offloads and among NSW middles is second in average run metres and tackle busts only to Payne Haas – who will undoubtedly be named as one of the starting NSW middles when the Blues team is unveiled on Sunday evening. May's bombshell wasn't an official confirmation with the Tigers star admitting it had all just come from media reports. May's revelation comes after whispers emerged earlier in the week about Blues coach Laurie Daley contacting several figures in the Wests Tigers camp, who reportedly didn't give May a glowing review. The report is that May's defence isn't always up to scratch and that his character may not gel well with others in camp – a bit of a stretch given it only goes for 10 days. But even the defensive issue reason is a peculiar one. He is averaging a tick over 40 tackles per game, at an efficiency of well over 90 per cent, making him statistically at least one of the competition's best. However, it isn't only Daley who isn't sold on May, with former NSW Blues adviser Greg Alexander also stating he isn't ready for the Origin arena. 'A lot of his runs for mine aren't effective runs, they're just taking the ball up,' Alexander said on SEN on Wednesday. 'I'm not knocking Terrell May; he's been great for the Tigers but I don't have him ahead of some of the front rowers that can play for NSW.'
