Channel 10 officially revives Talkin' ‘Bout Your Gen with ABC star Anne Edmonds as host
Comedian and ABC star Anne Edmonds will host a revival of Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation on Channel 10 as the game show returns to Ten for the first time in over a decade. The hour-long quiz show sees three different cultural generations test their popular culture knowledge and originally aired on Ten from 2009 until 2012. Ten later cancelled the series before it was revived by rival Channel 9 in 2018 and axed again in 2019. In a statement, Ten confirmed the quiz show will return to its original home this year with Edmonds replacing Shaun Micallef as host. 'The generational showdown Talkin' 'Bout Your Gen is back with a bold new look, a brand new set, and a fearless new host, the quick-witted and hilarious Anne Edmonds,' the network said in a statement. 'Each week, we find out which generation truly reigns supreme when Gen X, Y, and Z go head-to-head for the ultimate bragging rights.' Edmonds is a familiar face on Ten as a regular panelist on Have You Been Paying Attention? but remains best known for her work on the ABC series Get Krack!n. 'As the new host of Talkin' 'Bout Your Gen my only wish in the world is that Gen Z will tell me I slay, and Boomers will tell me they don't need any help finding it on 10 Play! I'm so excited to host this show and find out what's wrong with young people and old people, but mainly with millennials,' Edmonds said in a statement. The game show has courted controversy over the years, with claims the series has misrepresented numerous contestants' generations and public outcry after an elderly contestant had sour cream poured over her for a challenge called "Human Nacho". The announcement comes as the network continues to rebuild and revamp its programming lineup after wielding the axe to ageing franchises like The Bachelor and The Masked Singer. Ten has also opted to rest comedy series Thank God You're Here, while doubling down on long-running staples like Have You Been Paying Attention? and The Project. Earlier this month, the channel gave the greenlight for Sam Pang's late night show to return for a 'second run' of episodes just weeks after its debut in March.

Channel 10 confirms airdate for new season of Have You Been Paying Attention? and reveals Sam Pang will return
Channel 10 has confirmed Have You Been Paying Attention? will return to screens next month as the broadcaster doubles down on breakout star Sam Pang. The panel series, which sees host Tom Gleisner quiz his celeb panellists on current events, has emerged as a reliable ratings winner for Ten since its humble beginnings in 2013. On Tuesday, Ten revealed that the series will return to its Monday night timeslot for a 13th season next month beginning on May 12. 'It's time to make some noise as powerhouse trio Tom Gleisner, Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang are back to crank up the fun when the thirteenth season of Have You Been Paying Attention? premieres on Monday, 12 May at 8:40pm on 10 and 10 Play,' the network told in a statement. The series currently consists of Gleisner on the cue cards and Pang and Ed Kavalee as permanent panellists alongside a revolving line up of celebrity guests. 'I can't wait to get back into the studio with all the gang for another huge season of Have You Been Paying Attention?,' Gleisner said in a statement. 'For me, there's no better way to spend a Monday night.' Ten also confirmed that the upcoming season will see some 'brand new faces' as panellists. 'Be prepared to be a little bit informed, a whole lot entertained and perhaps slightly confused when all of your favourites (along with some brand new faces) put their knowledge of the week's news to the ultimate test,' Ten said in a statement. 'Same hilarious show, brand new headlines!' The update comes after Ten renewed Pang's late night show for a 'second run' of episodes just weeks after its debut in March. Sam Pang Tonight features an American-style late night format with celebrity guests and marks the most ambitious attempt at a late night series since Rove left the airways in 2009. The weekly late night show premiered last month to lukewarm critical reviews but managed to pull in Ten's biggest audience for a new show since 2022.
