Haven Beer Company, House of Heroes team up to help veterans
HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Haven Beer Company and House of Heroes are teaming up to honor local veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
All weekend long you can order a special beer and a burger menu item, and the proceeds will go to House of Heroes.
2025 Memorial Day events in Connecticut
The organization will head to Stamford, Norwalk and Guilford on Saturday to provide no-cost home repairs for veterans in need.
'We work strictly off of donations and the generosity of our community for giving us sponsorships and golf tournaments and Haven is so generous,' House of Heroes Executive Director Carol May said. 'They had a golf tournament for us last weekend so it's all good. It's all good.'
On Monday Haven Beer Company and the House of Heroes Connecticut will read the 103 Hamden residents who lost their lives in service at the brewery, following the parade in town.
