Rainbow Wahine split doubleheader on Saturday
The Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Softball team took on UC Davis in a doubleheader on Saturday in Manoa.
In game 1, Hawaii trailed early after UC Davis hit 2 homeruns in the 1st inning to take a 3-0 lead.
But in the 2nd inning, Liliana Thomas connected with one and sent it over the left center fence for a solo homerun.
The Rainbow Wahine were able to tie it up at 4 to send it to extra innings, but in the 8th the Aggies managed to get bases loaded with no outs, and took advantage of it. UC Davis scores 8 runs in the 8th for the 12-4 win.
In game 2 Hawaii started off on the right note as they scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning off of 2 RBI hits. UH would tack on another run in the 4th and 3 more in the 6th as Macy Brandi in the circle holds UC Davis scoreless.
Hawaii wins game 2 6-0 to split the day.
