Big Brother bosses 'keen' for Irish fans to apply to be on the show

The hunt is on by casting producers for fresh faces ready to dive into the iconic reality telly programme. They're even casting their eyes over to Ireland, eager for applications from across the water, reports the Irish Mirror. Casting Producer Hayden Baah said: "We are currently casting for the next series of Big Brother, the iconic reality series which will be returning to screens later this year on ITV2 and ITVX." Baah added: "We are looking for potential housemates from all walks of life who may be interested in applying and would be keen to hear from Irish residents who think they would make a great housemate." Irish contestants have gifted us with some of Big Brother's most cracking moments. Brian Dowling, one of the biggest Irish names to come from the show, scooped the jackpot prize back in 2002, becoming a household name. Anna Nolan was the trailblazer, the very first Irish star to waltz into the Big Brother house during its debut season. Orlaith McCallister, the stunner who once wore the Miss Northern Ireland crown, took part in season six of the show back in 2005. Hughie Maughan grabbed headlines when he strutted into the show in 2016.
