Nebraska hosts rising 2028 lineman over the weekend
Nebraska football hosted class of 2028 offensive lineman Hayden Shannon on Sunday. The announcement was made by Shannon on social media.
Shannon is not ranked in the Rivals rankings, but his profile is growing. He has one offer on the table at the moment, as Nebraska did so on March 29. He took an unofficial visit to the program that same day. He is being recruited to Nebraska by offensive line coach Donovan Raiola.
Shannon measures in at six-foot-four, 275 pounds.
It's worth noting that he also has an interest in Iowa and Iowa State. The Cyclones have recruited well in the state of Nebraska in the 2026 class, and are making another push in the state.
Nebraska has zero commitments in the 2028 class. It would be reasonable to expect an uptick in visits over the next couple of weeks, with many coming for future classes. Shannon would add another talented offensive lineman for a program that has built strong depth at the position over the last couple of classes.
