Awakenings program receives multi-year grant
Mar. 18—LIMA — The Awakenings Victim Outreach Program at Area Agency on Aging 3 has been awarded a multi-year grant through the Health Path Foundation of Ohio to support older adults. The program serves adults ages 60 and older in Allen, Auglaize, Hanock, Hardin, Mercer, Putnam and Van Wert counties who have experienced abuse, neglect or exploitation. Funds are available to assist with a variety of services that can help improve their safety and well-being following any number of situations. Included are rent and utilities assistance, housing deposits, medication, groceries, security cameras, household goods, clothing and other essentials.
