Coming up, single digital platform for real-time data on all hospitals, PHCs
Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh on Thursday announced a single digital health platform where real-time data from all medical institutes – from primary health centres to super speciality hospitals – can be viewed via one dashboard.
The proposed 'Centralized Healthcare Control Room' will serve as the nerve centre for monitoring healthcare delivery, ensuring preparedness, and generating actionable insights for effective health governance, officials said. It will feature a dashboard that provides administrators with critical data analytics and reports, they added.
'This will allow monitoring of bed availability, medicine stocks, diagnostics, and medical trends across the city in real time,' Singh said.
He was chairing a review meeting with officials from the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) and Delhi Health Department, to discuss the implementation of Health Management Information System (HMIS) and related digital health infrastructure.
'The HMIS, proposed for implementation across all Delhi government hospitals, will include modules for patient registration, appointments, billing, laboratory and radiology diagnostics, operation theatre and ward management, and more. It will be fully integrated with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, enabling consent-based, interoperable digital health records, ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) ID integration, and patient-friendly mobile applications,' Singh said.
