Niall Horan confirms new music for first time since Liam Payne's tragic death

Niall Horan has delighted fans by confirming he has started to work on his fourth solo album - after taking a break from the public eye after the death of bandmate Liam Payne. The One Direction star sent a heart-felt message out to fans on TikTok that he is working on the follow-up to 2023's The Show. It's the first new music he has put out since his beloved bandmate Liam tragically died in Argentina where Niall had been performing last October at the age of 31, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. Addressing his army of fans, Niall said: "Well, Hello lovers! Long time no see. I hope you haven't forgotten about me. I just wanted to say a massive thanks for everything that you've done on the fifth anniversary re-release of Heartbreak Weather . The album needed its day in the sun again, so we have to give it to it. Thank you for everything, all the new tunes, all the new packaging, I hope you're enjoying all of that too. Just last month, Niall, sparked excitement among fans by posting a picture of acoustic guitars on Instagram. The star has revealed he had been busy "accumulating ideas" for the follow-up to 2023's 'The Show' and planned to start putting pen to paper. It came after he told fans he was taking a break from the public eye to focus on his music late last year. The singer who recently concluded his The Show world tour, shared the news with his fans during his final performance at the Movistar Arena in Colombia . He said: "This stands from tomorrow onwards, you'll never find me. I'm gonna be hungover tomorrow! And I'm gonna disappear for a while. I'm gonna make you guys a brand new album and I will be back, I promise." Last November, Niall joined Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and ex-member Zayn Malik at Liam's funeral. Upon Liam's death, One Direction released a heart-wrenching statement, "We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say." The statement continued: "But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam. - Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry. (sic)"

One Direction star splashes out £10,000,000 on plush home with famous neighbours

Niall Horan wants something more 'grown up' as he ditches his luxury London apartment for a £10,000,000 six-bedroom mansion. The One Direction icon, 31, keeps incredibly low-key after reaching dizzying heights of fame with his bandmates in the 2010s. Niall and his girlfriend Amelia Woolley, 28, have been enjoying the 'quiet life' in the new neighbourhood with their dog. His neighbours in West London will now reportedly be the likes of TV icons Holly Willoughby, Ant McPartlin, and Dec Donnelly. A source told The Sun: 'Niall did have a very cool penthouse in London but he wanted to get somewhere a little more grown up.' They shared that his new home feels like a 'proper family home' with a whopping six bedrooms and 'a number of floors'. 'He is really settled with his girlfriend Amelia,' the insider added. 'They have a dog and are just like any other couple in their 30s — bar the fact he's got a fortune in the bank.' The pair have been together since 2020 and are said to have met through her job as a fashion designer. The source continued: 'They've been spotted a few times in the neighbourhood now but people leave Niall alone and let him just get on with his day. It's lovely that someone as well-known as Niall can live the quiet life he's always wanted.' Beyond touring and dropping the occasional solo album, Niall spends his days on the golf course away from the spotlight. He teased to specialist magazine Golf Pass that he would be spending the summer preparing his fourth solo album. 'I am literally, this week, just about to sit down and I've been like accumulating some ideas but I'm going to sit down and start writing my next album,' Niall revealed. The Slow Hands star added: 'That's an exclusive, I'm working on a new album guys.' More Trending His second album The Show, released in 2023, went straight to number one, with his third album, Heartbreak Weather, dropping last year. This new home is on the other side of the city from former bandmate Harry Styles, who has been on a musical hiatus for the last year. The As It Was hitmaker is often seen around the city with pals like James Corden, although a One Direction reunion remains to be seen. The former bandmates are rarely seen in public together, their last gathering being to attend the funeral of Liam Payne in November. Got a story? Niall Horan seeks the quiet life as he moves into £10m London mansion with girlfriend

The One Direction star is already living in the luxury six-bedroom family pile located in the West London neighbourhood that is home to several stars Niall Horan has moved into a €11.6 (£10 million) London mansion, it has been reported, as he seeks a 'quite' life with girlfriend Amelia Woodley. The One Direction star is already living in the luxury six-bedroom family pile located in the West London neighbourhood that is home to several stars. According to the Sun, the couple who share a dog together, have been enjoying a quiet life in the new neighbourhood, which is home to other celebrities including Holly Willoughby and Ant and Dec. They settled in after leaving his London penthouse, as the reputed low-key musician sought a sanctuary away from the limelight. Niall and shoe designer Amelia have been "spotted a few times in the neighbourhood", reports claim, and have already been pictured out and about walking their dog. In 2023, Horan released his second solo album, The Show, which went to number one and finished touring with his third album, Heartbreak Weather, in 2024. Last month, the singing star teased that he plans to spend the summer working on his fourth record. In an interview with Golf Pass, he revealed: "I am literally, this week, just about to sit down and I've been like accumulating some ideas but I'm going to sit down and start writing my next album." Last summer, the singer popped up in Dublin's 'secret' hideaway for the stars, The Hacienda Bar on Little Mary Street. Fresh from his sold-out show at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, in August Niall brought along pal Ed Sheeran to meet the legendary owner of the northside night spot, Shay Duignan, who welcomed the musical duo to his speakeasy. Posting on social media, Shay wrote: 'Great to welcome Ed Sheeran and Niall Horan to the Hacienda last night. It was a wonderful night and it was also special to welcome James Blunt and Lewis Capaldi.' In the picture that will join the numerous others dotted along its hallowed walls, Shay is joined by the One Direction star, who had earlier delighted fans by introducing his 'good friend' Sheeran, who joined him on stage. Horan said: 'He loves this country dearly and made his way across from England today to be here with us tonight. Can you please give it up for my good friend, the great Ed Sheeran.' However, in October last year, tragedy struck the band when singer Liam Payne (31) died after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires. Payne rose to fame aged 16 as part of One Direction, who went on to become a global sensation after they finished third on The X Factor in 2010. In a post on Instagram, Horan wrote: 'I'm absolutely devastated about the passing of my amazing friend, Liam. It just doesn't feel real. 'Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was infectious. He was the brightest in every room and always made everyone feel happy and secure. 'All the laughs we had over the years, sometimes about the simplest of things, keep coming to mind through the sadness. We got to live out our wildest dreams together and I will cherish every moment we had forever. The bond and friendship we had doesn't happen often in a lifetime. 'I feel so fortunate that I got to see him recently. I sadly didn't know that after saying goodbye and hugging him that evening, I would be saying goodbye forever. It's heartbreaking. 'My love and condolences go out to Geoff, Karen, Ruth, Nicola and of course his son Bear. Thank you for everything, Payno. Love you brother.'
