DOE was born in Washington State and raised in Shreveport, and she started singing as a child with her family called 'Forever Jones.' Forever Jones has had much success, garnering multiple Stellar Award and Dove Award nominations and two GRAMMY® Awards nominations for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album and Best Gospel posted via social media that while holding her son, Shiloh, and boarding a plane to go home, she received a text about her GRAMMY win.
'Dear friends, and even artists who's projects were nominated in the same category … what a moment… just WOW… Thank you to the recording academy for this award and recognition of my and my team's hard work over the last year and a half. There were a lot of people who worked hard on this project! And most of all! Thank you, God, for giving me the gift of songwriting. I'm also thankful for these beautiful songs he allowed us to write. The story behind this album is sooo encouraging, and I can't wait to share,' says Jones.
She was first nominated in 2019 for featuring on 'Cycles.'
