Legally Blonde announced for Wales Millennium Centre - how to get tickets Start preparing for summer 2026 now as tickets go on sale next month Legally Blonde will be performed at the Wales Millennium Centre next summer (Image: Getty Images ) Whilst you may only just be getting your plans ready for this summer, Wales Millennium Centre has already made an exciting announcement for its line-up for June, 2026. The iconic venue is known for bringing the most popular musical productions to the stage in Cardiff Bay, including the likes of The Lion King, Hamilton and Wicked. Earlier this month the venue revealed that its annual Christmas show will be Matilda for 2026. Now it has also announced that Legally Blonde will be the show of the summer, coming next June. ‌ Legally Blonde the musical was written by Heather Hach in 2007 with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, adapted from the iconic 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon. The production first hit the Broadway stage in 2007 and the West End Production opened in 2010, winning several awards. Legally Blonde is now touring the UK, starting in Leicester in February, 2026, making its way to Cardiff for June and eventually finishing in Brighton in January, 2027. Tickets will go on sale next month starting on Monday, June 2, for Partner and Partner Awen members at 10am. ‌ Ffrind members will be able to buy tickets on Wednesday, June 4, at 10am. General on sale tickets will go live at 10am on Friday, June 6. Have we got an amazing announcement for you! "The iconic musical @legallyblondeshow show is bringing spirit, style and sass to Wales Millennium Centre next year." Producers ROYO and Curve have announced that a brand-new Made at Curve production of Legally Blonde: The Musical will have its Scottish premiere at the King's Theatre in Glasgow. The show will run from April 6 to 11, 2026. READ NEXT: 'So so exciting': Signage appears for new pub and diner in Glasgow (Image: Image: Newsquest) Based on the novel of the same name by Amanda Browning and the iconic 2001 film of the same name starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge, the musical features a book by Heather Hach and original music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin. The musical , which will be directed by Curve's Artistic Director Nikolai Foster (Kinky Boots, The Wizard of Oz, A Chorus Line) follows Elle Woods on her transformation from 'It Girl' fashionista to legal ace at Harvard Law School, all in the name of love. Elle must prove she is more than blonde ambition, swap the changing rooms for the courtroom and learn that 'being true to yourself never goes out of style. "Laurence O'Keefe, Nell Benjamin and Heather Hach's electrifying musical about empowerment, equality and the folly of judging a book by its cover remains pitch perfect and as relevant as ever. "We can't wait to share the show with audiences across the UK and Europe after Elle takes over Curve early 2026." Casting and further creatives involved in the production are yet to be announced.
