The Christina on the Coast host shared that the pair had headed out for an early Mother's Day meal with Haack's nine-year-old son, Brayden, who she shares with her ex-husband, HGTV star Tarek El Moussa. Haack and Tarek were married for almost ten years before divorcing in 2018. 'We got spoiled early for Mother's Day by this cutie,' Haack wrote in the caption of a joint Instagram post. Brayden grins as he poses with his arms around both his mom and stepmom. 'Beautiful classroom tea party, sweet notes and lots of love. Hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day weekend as well!' Fans were delighted to see the pair celebrating together, who have seemingly worked on their relationship for the sake of their blended family after famously not getting along. On Friday, the Christina on the Coast star posted a sweet photo of the two women and son Brayden enjoying a pre-Mother's Day celebration. Not only have the HGTV stars teamed up to create a bunch of hilarious TikToks, but the unlikely trio also collaborated on The Flip Off, a series where the exes go head-to-head in a series of renovation challenges. The secret to their excellent co-parenting relationship? Prioritizing family. "We always put the kids first," Tarek told House Beautiful. "Through that, we were able to rebuild our friendship—and that really came because of Heather and Christina really getting along." Whether they're filming The Flip Off or hanging out with the kids, Christina and Heather Rae spend lots of time together. So while this Mother's Day celebration isn't exactly a shock, fans are thrilled to see another excellent display of their modern family. Heather Rae El Moussa Has an Update on Whether She'll Have More Kids
HGTV star Heather Rae El Moussa is giving an update about possibly expanding her family. While speaking to E! News during a May 10 interview, Heather referenced that she's publicly stated that she and her husband, Tarek El Moussa, don't agree about having more children. The couple, who wed in 2021, have a 2-year-old son, Tristan. Tarek and his ex-wife, Christina Haack, also have two older children, Taylor and Brayden. "We're in the see what happens phase. I have been vocal, probably more than my husband would like, that I would love to have another baby," said Heather to the publication. Heather also said being a stepmother to Taylor and Brayden made her want to have her own child. "I was lucky enough to be become a stepmom to Taylor and Brayden six years ago. And I fell in love with them. And then that made me want to have my own," said Heather during the interview. She also said her enjoyment of being a mother and stepmother has made her want to have more children. "Having Tristan made me realize, like, 'I love being a mom. I love being a stepmom. It brings so much joy to my life that, why not want more?'" said Heather. Heather opened up about not being aligned with her husband about giving Tristan a younger sibling during a March 2025 episode of the 'Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad' podcast, as reported by People magazine. '[My son] is the light of my life. It makes me so happy. I'm like, 'How could I not want more?' But my husband is very much done. So we're very different in what we want in our future. So that's hard,' said Heather to People. She also said she would like to have another child as soon as possible because she is "turning 38 this year." "So for me, it's kind of like now or never in a way. Not because you can't have babies older, but I don't want to be 40 having babies still 'cause it's a lot. It takes up a lot of your time, a lot of your life, and the kids are my priority over myself. So I want to do it, get my body back. And it took a long time. It's hard," said Heather on the podcast episode. She also said she and Tarek have spoken about the issue in couples therapy. Tarek explained why he wasn't too keen about having more children during an April 2025 interview on Page Six's Virtual RealiTEA podcast. He said he is focused on his career and does not want to divert attention away from Taylor, Brayden, and Tristan. He also said he is "99 percent" sure he will not have more children. "But, you know, I do have a wife. So we'll see what happens," said Tarek during the April 2025 interview.

Heather Rae El Moussa's friendship with Christina Haack is 'getting there'
Heather Rae El Moussa's friendship with her husband's ex-wife is 'developing'. The 37-year-old reality star is married to Tarek El Moussa and has two-year-old son Tristan with him but is also stepmother to Taylor, 14, as well as nine-year-old Braydon - whom he shares with Christina Haack. And, she explained that working with Christina on 'The Flip Off' has led to them bonding. She told Us Weekly: 'I think friendship is a very special thing, like being a friend. And I think we're getting there, right? We're opening up to each other about things. We help each other through things. We talk about personal things with each other and guide each other through things. So our friendship is developing even more and more. 'It did [surprise me] because we talk about the kids. It's school, school stuff and homework and discipline and sports, but then, we don't know each other. We didn't know each other on a deeper level of who we are as individuals and filming a show together and being around each other more outside of just the children. ['The Flip Off'] got us to know each other on more of a friendship level.' Heather also revealed she would love to work with Christina again if 'The Flip Off' gets renewed for a second season. She said: 'It's an incredible show. We are very hands-on. We are executive producers. We helped create the show. We started in the show, and there's always trash talk with Tar and Christina, not so much me. I mean, it's fun to gang up on my husband. He's just easy and he has fun with it. Christina and I, we've built a friendship throughout The Flip Off and we co-parent together and Mother's Day is coming up, which is exciting. We get to celebrate each other as mothers. But yeah, there's always a little trash talk. It's fun, but it's healthy.'

Heather Rae El Moussa and her husband Tarek El Moussa are still divided on whether to have a second child - five months after starting couple's therapy. At 37, the Heather Rae Essentials creator admits she's 'a little bit older' and has 'a time clock' in terms of carrying one of their 'embryos on ice' from the last round of IVF. 'I think it's natural for a woman to kind of start making that decision. Is it going to work for our family, or are we good as we are?' Heather explained to Us Weekly on Wednesday. 'We are talking about possibly having another baby. I would like one, Tarek feels done, and I think that's also very real. I think a lot of couples go through this.' El Moussa (born Young) wound up welcoming their first child - two-year-old son Tristan Jay El Moussa - naturally while going through the IVF process. 'Talking about having another baby is just one layer. It's not why we were in therapy,' the Anaheim native noted. Heather added that she 'truly' wished they'd started therapy before they wed in 2021 'just to learn to communicate through things.' El Moussa previously revealed on the March 27th episode of the Scrubbing In podcast that they go to couple's therapy at least twice a month. 'I'm turning 38 this year. So for me, it's kind of like now or never in a way, not because you can't have babies older, but I don't want to be 40 having babies still because it's a lot,' the former Playboy Playmate admitted. 'It takes up a lot of your time, a lot of your life, and the kids are my priority over myself. So I want to do it, get my body back. And it took a long time. It's hard.' The 43-year-old Flipping 101 host already fathered two older children - son Brayden, 9; and daughter Taylor, 14 - during his seven-year marriage to Christina Haack, which amicably ended in 2018. On April 30, Tarek and Heather reunited with his 41-year-old ex-wife for a for your consideration event for their HGTV reality show The Flip Off, which was held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The El Moussas originally met during a fishing trip in July 2019, and they've been married for over three years. The inseparable couple currently co-star in the second season of The Flipping El Moussas, which finally concludes this Thursday on HGTV.
