A spokesperson for Edale MRT said the rescue was hampered by "tricky terrain" but an air ambulance was able to land MRT apologised to drivers as the road between Stoney Middleton and Eyam was shut while the incident was dealt with. A spokesperson added: "The most seriously injured of the two was evacuated to Helimed 53 with the second transported to a road ambulance."Both were then transported to Sheffield Northern General Hospital major trauma unit. "We wish the climbers all the best with their recovery."
