Your child's jewelry box has a killer; Canada recalls bracelets and necklaces containing poisonous lead
Health Canada
has issued a nationwide recall for certain children's jewelry after finding dangerous levels of lead. The recall, announced on May 17, 2025, will protect children from serious health risks.
Why this move?
The recalled jewelry contains lead above the legal safety limits, which is unsafe. Lead is toxic, especially for children. It can harm brain development and cause other long-term health problems.
