Grand theft suspect rams car into patrol vehicle: PD
(KRON) –A grand theft suspect rammed their vehicle into a patrol car in an attempt to evade police, according to the Cotati Police Department.
At 3:10 p.m. on Friday, Cotati police officers were dispatched to Lowe's Home Improvement for the report of a theft. Police dispatch was informed that one of the suspects stole multiple items earlier that day and returned to shoplift again. Dispatch was also given the suspect's vehicle information.
Cotati police, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office Helicopter 'Henry 1', Sonoma State University Police and Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety found the suspect's vehicle in the Lowe's parking lot. The suspect entered the car and another suspect was waiting in the car. As police began to approach the vehicle, the suspect rammed into a patrol car and fled, according to Cotati PD. The suspect traveled to Novato, where he crashed into a passing motorist in the intersection near the De Long Ave exit.
Juveniles arrested after Vallejo armed robbery: PD
Authorities detained the duo after they both attempted to flee on foot.
The driver was identified as 34-year-old Fairfield resident Bryan Beardsley. The passenger was identified as 38-year-old Oakland resident Danie Sieng.
Both were arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
Beardsley was charged with grand theft, assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon, reckless evading, resisting arrest, felony hit and run with injury and three outstanding warrants.
Sieng was arrested for a felony warrant.
